The City of Kingman has secured 3,000 in federal funding through the Fiscal Year 2026 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill to support Phase 1 of the Bull Mountain Channel Improvements project. The funding, obtained through Congressional Direct Spending, will support street improvements at the intersection of Canyon Hills Road and Shadow Crest Road designed to redirect water flow into Bull Mountain Wash. With the completion of Phase 1, the project is expected to provide immediate flood relief to homes and businesses located west of Stockton Hill Road.
